About

From paulmccartney.com:

In May 2004, Paul embarked on this 14-date European stadium tour which saw him play shows in places he had never been before, including Portugal and the Czech Republic. The tour culminated with Paul’s now historic headline performance at Glastonbury Festival, with 120,000 festival-goers gathered to watch what has now become one of the festival’s most legendary moments. British music paper NME declared, “Spare a thought for Michael Eavis. He could live to host 100 more Glastos and he’ll never top this,” while The Observer reported, “His appeal continues to bridge generations.” Later that year Paul was honoured at the NME Awards when they presented the award for Best Event for his performance on the famous Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
