“Perfect Lover” is an unreleased song from the “Chaos And Creation In The Backyard” sessions.
“This Never Happened Before” was considered to be the 3rd single from the “Chaos And Creation In The Backyard” album, but the release got cancelled. It was thought that the single would have included three unreleased songs from the “Chaos And Creation In The Backyard” sessions: “A Modern Dance”, “Perfect Lover” and “Watching My Fish Drown”.
While “A Modern Dance” and “Watching My Fish Drown” were never released, “Perfect Lover” was reworked for the 2007 album, “Memory Almost Full“, and evolved into the song “Ever Present Past“.
