What happened for Paul in 1985

After two busy years and the lacklustre release of “Give My Regards To Broad Street“, Paul McCartney spent the first months of 1985 far away from the recording studios. In May, his professional home studio at Hog Hill Mill was ready; and he used it to start recording his new album (to be released in 1986 and named “Press To Play“) with producer Hugh Padgham. For this album, he also continued his collaboration with Eric Stewart who co-wrote several tracks on it. The recording would continue throughout 1985.

In July, McCartney was back on stage for the charity event, “Live Aid“, his first real concert since Wings’ 1979 UK tour.

In November, he released a new single, Spies Like Us, the title song for the movie of the same name.
