About this 12″ single:
‘Temporary Secretary’ and the non-album ‘Secret Friend’ come from the ‘all-me-own-work’ McCartney Il sessions and were released on 12″ only. Both make full use of electronics and ‘Friend’ lasts for 10 1/2 minutes, a sort of dreamy home movie for the ears. Jeff Cummins’ drawing (tarted up by Paul) of Mr. McCartney with temp on knee is a nice bonus.
