Thank heavens for this recording of a historic tour, because the live movie is terrible. […] Bob Clearmountain mixing Paul McCartney’s live album ‘Tripping The Live Fantastic’. Paul being thoughtful sent me Upstate NY on my own to make sure I was happy with the way Clearmountain was treating the drums. I can’t remember if I said much, I hope I didn’t say much. The legend that is Clearmountain graciously entertained me spending a day looking over his shoulder. Yikes.
