As I walked in, John said, “How’s that, B-Gees!” Paul had just gone out with Jane. John and I got into a conversation and he said he liked what we were doing and stuff like that. It was very pleasant, but unusual. Just yesterday I was living in Australia and I was a regular Beatles fan, and two months later I’m having a drink with them at the Speakeasey Club.”
