About

In its September 12, 1970 edition, Melody Maker reported that producer Mickie Most visited Paul McCartney in his Scottish farmhouse, to propose him a role in his first film as a film producer, “The Second Coming Of Suzanne“.

Paul’s a hard guy to contact, but Apple are trying to get him for me. The chances are if he likes the script, he’ll do it. Paul once told me that every film script offered to The Beatles was another Help! and that he wanted to do something different. This film is different.

Paul refused the role. Mickie Most would later say he had found Paul “a bit like Jim Morrison after a bender“.

On September 13, Apple issued a denial Paul would appear in the film.
