About

From Beatles Monthly Book N°124, August 1986:

Paul McCartney’s “No More Lonely Nights” received an award from ASCAP, the U.S. music publishing agency, for being the most performed song of the year from October 1, 1984 to September 30, 1985. Fellow superb songwriter Hal David, formerly president of ASCAP, accepted the award on Paul’s behalf at a celebration dinner held in Los Angeles on May 28.
