A rare copy of the Paul McCartney Paintings 1988-98 book. This was Paul’s personal property and consigned by himself to the charity Star Boot Auction held in December 2015. Two previous volumes of the Paintings book have been issued, each containing a different collection of paintings by Paul. The series of Paintings books have been published sporadically by MPL on the behalf of Paul McCartney. They have been produced in order to catalogue and publicise McCartney’s artwork. However, the books were issued in extremely limited quantities and basically intended as an in-house publication to be given away free to friends, associates and staff etc. Paintings 1988-98 is a revised and the most up to date edition in the Paintings series. It contains the most comprehensive collection of Paul McCartney’s paintings ever compiled in a single volume with 483 illustrations of various works by Paul including title information etc. Previously the Paintings publications have been issued in softback but this edition comes in grey hardback featuring an image of Paul’s Egypt Station painting on the front cover.

The book measures 19.5cm x 19.25cm (7.50 inches x 7.75 inches) 504 pages. The condition of the book is mint and it is still sealed although there is some splitting to the cellophane to one edge.
