About

20 Forthlin Road, the house in which Paul McCartney lived from age 13 to 22, was in the ownership of the UK National Trust since 1995. But on this day, it was given Grade II listed status by the English Heritage. Grade II is for buildings that are of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve them.

The childhood home of John Lennon – Mendips, on Menlove Avenue in Woolton – was also given this famous Grade II status at the same date.
