About

About this 12″ single:

The sleeve to Wings’ ‘Goodnight Tonight’ introduced new members Steve Holly and Laurence Juber, while the long version of the A-side is a treat. Sharp bursts of electric guitar merge with Spanish-style acoustic strumming, taut basswork and clicking percussion in an intoxicating whole. ‘Daytime Nightime Suffering’ (non-LP) is better than most people’s A-sides: the vocal interplay is crystal clear in this version. (‘Daytime Nightime’ is one of Paul and Linda’s favourite Wings tracks.)
