From Capital Choir:
The internationally renowned Capital Children’s Choir, founded by Rachel Santesso in 2001, is in constant demand and performs regularly at a wide range of events: from historical occasions at the Vatican, to singing alongside today’s pop superstars (Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, the Spice Girls). The choir is equally well known for its own original choral-orchestral recordings of famous pop songs; their videos have currently received well over ten million views on YouTube.
The Capital Children’s Choir has performed live at events including the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, the International Rugby Finals at Twickenham, Europe’s first ever Major League Baseball game at the Olympic Stadium, and other major sporting occasions including the NFL’s London Games. They have performed in the presence of Pope Benedict at the Vatican, for Queen Elizabeth II at the Bomber Command Memorial, and on numerous major television broadcasts both here and in the USA. They have also been featured in Time Magazine, Vogue, NME, Pitchfork, and every major broadsheet in the UK.
The choir frequently records with respected artists, both classical and pop, on every major label. They have also been featured on major film soundtracks, as well as global ads such as the Johnson & Johnson’s “For All You Love” campaign.
The Capital Children’s Choir was formed when a small group of 10 year old girls approached Rachel and asked her to start a singing club in St. John’s Wood, London. Since then, their club has grown to include well over one hundred children from around the capital.
