About
Paul McCartney produced the album “McGough & McGear” (by Roger McGough and his brother Mike McGear) which recording started in June 1967. The album was released in May 1968.
In “The Beatles Diary Volume 1: The Beatles Years” by Barry Miles, it is noted that Paul McCartney joined Mike McGear and Roger McGough for a recording session at Abbey Road, on January 26, 1968.
In “That Magic Feeling (The Beatles’ Recorded Legacy)” by John C Winn, January 20 is indicated. It is also mentioned that Jimi Hendrix participated in the day’s recordings. Jimi indeed contributed to two tracks of the album, “Ex-Art Student” and “So Much“.
On January 20, 1968 — under the direction of #PaulMcCartney — #JimiHendrix records tracks for the self-titled, McGough and McGear (EMI Parlophone, PCS 7047, 1968) album at DeLane Lea Studios in #London contributing guitar parts for the songs “Ex-Art Student” and “So Much.”
