About
Scenes showing Paul McCartney (and Ringo Starr and accompanying musicians) playing “Yesterday“, “The Fool On The Hill”, “Wanderlust”, “Here, There And Everywhere” in the studio were shot at AIR Studios in London, from February 28th to March 2nd, 1983.
It’s likely that the recordings of the songs have been done around the same time – either live during the filming, or still at AIR Studios. From The Beatles Monthly Book, N°83, March 1983:
Paul was recently at work in the studios re-recording some of the Beatles’ well-known standards for inclusion in the soundtrack to his film “Give My Regards To Broad Street”, due for release in time for Christmas. It is only the second time a member of the Beatles has done this, Ringo being the first when he re-recorded “Act Naturally” for his 1978 TV special.

It is worth noting that Ringo Starr accepted to be part of the Broad Street project, but didn’t want to play drums on the re-recording of the Beatles song. In the movie, we can see him trying to find his sticks during the rendition of “Yesterday“, “Here, There And Everywhere” and finding them to play on “Wanderlust” (“The Fool On The Hill” was cut off from the final version).
