EX-BEATLE PAUL IN HUSH-HUSH VISIT Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney is seen here in an exclusive” Chronicle” picture, rehearsing in secret with members of his new group Wings, behind the locked and bolted doors of the disused ABC Cinema, North End Road. Fulham. At last the “Chronicle” has soh ed the ” pop ” ni) stery which has bewildered residents near the disused picture house. Loud music could be heard coming from the Wilding but the doors to the fo)er were bolted and barred. A note on the door referred callers to the back of the cinema, but the Press were turned awe). • DISCOVERED A “Chronicle” reporter however, discovered Paul in the unlikeliest of all places. lie was sitting with other members of his group lunchiii’ in a Fulham Road snack bar. But es CH though the snack bar had a glass frontage passers-by didn’t seem to notice. The didn’t realise that one of the pop idols of the ” sixties” was eating sausages eggs yards away. Manager of “The Dining Car,” Mr. Jack Bannon said: “People walked past and then looked back quickly. They obtiously could not believe it. None had the courage to come in.”
