Song facts
‘Wah-Wah’ was written during the Let It Be sessions (January 1969). We had been away from each other after having a very difficult time recording the White Album (1968), which went on so long. It went on forever. When we came back from holiday, we went straight back into the old routine. I remember Paul and I were trying to have an argument and the crew carried on filming and recording us. I couldn’t stand it and I decided, ‘This is it! Thank you, I’m leaving!’ ‘Wah-Wah’ was a headache as well as a foot pedal. It was written during the time in the film where John and Yoko were freaking out and screaming. I wrote this tune at home.
