Song facts
From Wide Prairie liner notes:
Since we first met, the two of us remembered certain songs from our childhood. This tune was a big hit for The McGuire Sisters in the late Fifties. Linda and myself would sing this as a party piece, splitting into the melody and harmony to amuse and amaze our friends and relatives. Lee Perry produced the backing track in Kingston, Jamaica, at Black Ark Studios.

Lyrics
Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar and love me all the time
Honey in the morning
Honey in the evening
Honey at suppertime
You'll be my little honey and love me all the time
Put your arms around me
And swear by the stars above (Uh-Huh)
You'll be mine forever in a heaven of love
Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar and love me all the time
Ooh-Hoo, Ooh-Hoo
Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar and love me all the time
Honey in the morning
Honey in the evening
Honey at suppertime
You'll be my little honey and love me all the time
So, put your arms around me...

Hello, just wondering if ican use the song ‘sugar time’ in an advertising jingle, with on or two word changes. We went to Paul’s recent show at Gold Coast Australia. Amazing, wonderful night for me and Shirl. Cheers Michael Tarbuck ( ex Heswall lad)

Hi Michael, thanks for your message. Unf, I'm not an expert in copyright law, so I can't really tell you. All the best.
