On this day, November 16, 1965, the day after the final mixes for The Beatles’ new album “Rubber Soul” were completed, producer George Martin finalised the running order and telephoned the sequence through to EMI Studios, Abbey Road.
On November 17 and 19, mastering engineer Harry Moss cut the master discs, allowing the album to be rapidly manufactured ahead of its UK release on December 3, 1965.
