Moroccan week for Wings

About

Mamunia“, released on the 1973 album “Band On The Run“, was written during this stay in Marrakech.

It always tends to be a rather hectic business, getting the family away on holiday. It’s all carrier bags, babies and bustle, whether one is driving to Devon or, like Paul McCartney yesterday, jetting to Gibraltar.

Thirty-year-old Paul, the former Beatle, seemed to take it all in his stride at London Heathrow Airport. With him were his wife Linda, their daughters Mary, four, and Stella, 18 months – and Linda’s daughter by her previous marriage, nine-year-old Heather.

They flew to Gibraltar on their way to Marrakesh for a holiday. Which, presumably, is one way of turning the family into a Rock group.
