Paul McCartney sends video message for Ringo’s 71st birthday

Likely early July, Paul McCartney and his band spent some days in London, to rehearse for the upcoming “On The Run” tour, starting on July 15 in New York.

During those rehearsals, they recorded a Happy Birthday message to celebrate Ringo Starr’s 71st birthday, followed by a rendition of The Beales’ “Birthday“.

Ladies and gentleman, today is Mr. Ringo Starr’s birthday. Cool guy, cool guy. He is celebrating in Hamburg, we are celebrating here in London town. We wish you a happy birthday. Yeah man. Have a great one. Love to you and [your wife] Barbara.
