Four-part biopic series on The Beatles gets cast

Last updated on October 4, 2025

In February 2024, it was announced that director Sam Mendes would helm four feature films about The Beatles — Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr — each telling the band’s story from a different member’s perspective. The interconnected films were initially slated for release in 2027.

On this day, the cast for the production was officially revealed, with Paul Mescal announced to portray Paul McCartney. It was also confirmed that the release date had been postponed to April 2028.
