WINGS SINGLE
WINGS release a new single, “Helen Wheels,” this week. The single, recorded in Lagos, features Paul McCartney playing lead guitar, bass and drums. It was, of course, made after Henry McCulloch and Denny Seiwell left the band. The B-side “Country Dreamer” was recorded in London some months ago.
Meanwhile McCartney this week is at the EMI studios in Abbey Road mixing tapes for Wings’ next album and no decision has yet been announced about replacements for McCulloch and Seiwell.

Helen Wheels- Please, am I the only one who noticed Macca comes in 4 measures early on bass on the second verse and then comes in 4 measures late on the third verse, now this is pure genius I must say.
