Adrian Ibbetson

About

The first recording session for the song “Fixing A Hole“, from the Beatles’ 1967 album, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band“, was recorded during at Regent Sound Studio. Regent was used because EMI’s Abbey Road studios were not available that night. This was the first time that the Beatles used a British studio other than Abbey Road for an EMI recording.

Adrian Ibbetson was chief engineer at Regent Sound Studio at this time, and acted as the Beatles’ sound engineer for this session.
