From paulmccartney.com, June 22, 2012:
Paul will be appearing on The Ronnie Wood Show this Monday 25th June on Sky Arts 1 HD at 10:00pm.
The guys reminisce and chat about Paul’s songs and the songs that have influenced him. The show will also feature intimate performances by Paul.
Ronnie plays rhythm guitar for The Rolling Stones and recently won the Sony Radio Personality of the Year award for his radio show.
About The Ronnie Wood Show:
Rock `n’ roll fans know who Ronnie Wood is – he is one of the guitarists in legendary band The Rolling Stones, and has been since 1975. In this eponymous programme, the long-time rocker welcomes a number of his musical colleagues into his recording studio for heart-to-heart discussions about rock `n’ roll, lively banter and impromptu jam sessions.
From Somethin’ Else:
‘The Ronnie Wood Show’ began life at Somethin’ Else as a radio programme and evolved into a successful TV show and a genuine multiplatform offering. The show was very simple – Ronnie and guests in a studio, listening to great music, swapping rock ‘n’ roll stories and jamming along to records.
We began working with Ronnie in 2009 and created a radio format that came to be broadcast on Absolute Radio and Absolute Classic Rock in the UK, and syndicated around the world to many different networks.
When the show was still only a radio programme, we often filmed in the studio when Ronnie had a great guest in to create short-form content for the web. This footage was shown to commissioners at Sky Arts, and from there the Ronnie Wood TV show was born.
This was the 1st and only concert played at Somethinelse studio.
