About
This day was the very first day of recording the “McCartney” album in EMI Studios, Abbey Road. Those sessions at Abbey Road were booked under the name of Billy Martin.
“The Lovely Linda“, “Momma Miss America” and “Singalong Junk” had been recorded at Paul McCartney’s home, in Cavendish Avenue, St John’s Wood, in late December 1969.
“Singalong Junk” had received some overdubs earlier in the month of February 1970.
On this day, February 21, 1970, the three tracks were mixed for inclusion on the “McCartney” album.
