Shortly after their wedding, Paul and Linda McCartney travelled to Liverpool to visit Paul’s family. Linda had previously been introduced to Paul’s family in October 1968 and again during Christmas of that year.
This visit was an opportunity for Linda and her daughter, Heather, to spend time with Ruth, Paul’s nine-year-old step-sister. Paul, Linda, Heather, and Ruth were pictured posing on the staircase at the home of Paul’s father Jim.
On March 16, Paul and Linda flew from Liverpool to New York to continue their honeymoon.
