In August 1972, John Lennon and Yoko Ono sent a letter to Paul and Linda McCartney, inviting Wings to participate in the One To One concert in support of the Willowbrook children (which was held on August 30). The letter was revealed and published in the hardcover book of the “Power To The People” deluxe boxset, released in October 10, 2025.
John and Yoko had previously asked Wings to participate in a charity concert for Ireland in February 1972.
