In 1989, Brian Clarke designed the artwork for Paul McCartney’s single Figure of Eight, from the album Flowers in the Dirt, for which he had also created artwork in collaboration with Linda McCartney. This album artwork echoes the bright stage sets that Clarke had created for The Paul McCartney World Tour between 1989 and 1990, translating them onto a smaller scale.
