PAUL AND Linda McCartney have written the title song for the new James Bond movie, “Live And Let Die”, which is currently being shot in New Orleans.
Wings recorded the songs which will be used over the film’s title credits and an orchestrated version of the song will be played throughout the movie.

McCartney to score Bond
PAUL McCartney, who first moved into the writing of film scores with the Hayley Mills-Hywel Bennett film ‘The Family Way’, is to write a new theme for James Bond.
If he has time, it is also hoped that McCartney will write the other music for the next James Bond film, ’Live And Let Die’, the first to star the third-filed Bond, Roger Moore. McCartney replaces John Barry, who has scored all the previous music for Bond films. Wings may be used to play the music.
Another ex-Beatle, Ringo Starr, is also understood to be involved in a film project which is to feature Keith Moon, The Everly Brothers and music by Graham Bond.

McCARTNEY AND WINGS’ SONGS IN NEW BOND MOVIE
PAUL McCARTNEY is writing some — and possibly all — of the music for the next James Bond movie “Live And Let Die”, which has just gone into production in America with Roger Moore taking over the 007 role from Sean Connery. The exact extent of McCartney’s contribution to the film has not yet been determined, but he has already penned the title theme — written in all previous Bond pictures by John Barry — and has recorded it for the movie’s soundtrack with his group Wings.
A spokesman for McCartney told the NME: “Paul is also writing two or three songs for the picture. which we hope will be recorded by Wings. But it hasn’t yet been decided whether he will get involved in writing the entire incidental score for the film. It’s really up to him. and at present he is considering if he wants to take on such a vast project”
