Maybe I’m Amazed” was widely regarded as the standout track of the “McCartney” album, yet it was never released as a single at the time.

In 1976, to promote the live album “Wings Over America“, it was finally issued as the A-side of a single, with “Soily” as the B-side.

This promotional 12″ edition — featuring only “Maybe I’m Amazed” in its album version and radio edit, both in mono and stereo — was reissued as a limited Record Store Day release in April 2013.

Sometimes we’re a bit daft here. We have a bit of a funky organisation, you know, which isn’t that clued into picking tracks off albums. At the time we thought “Maybe I’m Amazed” was a good track and maybe we should do that as a single, which it probably should have been. But we never did.
