From a seller on eBay:

This is a 12 inch promotional record from 1984. It features the song “No more lonely nights” by Paul McCartney. This is the rare special “mole” mix.

We owned several copies of this record back around that time period. When I owned a record store, the gentleman who worked at Capitol records brought a handful of these in along with other Capitol promotional items. He stated that Capitol U.S. pressed these on their parent Parlophone label for promotional use, but they were never sent out to the radio stations. I had forgotten about these until I found them stored away as George Harrison would say, all those years ago.

Included in the release, was the following letter:

Dear DJ’s

Enclosed is a single sided 12″ of Paul McCartney’s “No More Lonely Nights” (Mole Mix). It’s a re-mixed by Arthur Baker, and you have one of only 25O copies, as no decision has been made to make this commercially available!

There will be two other Arthur Baker mixes in the shops, one on 7″, the other on 12″, but these will be different to this “Mole” Mix.

Play it loud!

Regards
