The ever wise Paul McCartney cleverly realised that if he booked me to play clarinet on it, his new album would probably do really well. Well, it already seems to be paying off for him.

I’d like to thank Ben Foster and Giles Martin for guiding him in this excellent decision and for their stunning arrangements.

I still can’t quite believe that got to jam some clarinet with him on this track. He told me I was sitting in the exact same spot in Abbey Road Studios the clarinet player who played on When I’m 64 sat to record. No pressure then.
