Keef &Co directed and produced many music projects with Paul, including Promos, documentaries, interviews, concerts and commercials, including two Promos for the song Press.

“The BBC were generally reluctant to show Promos and we’re interviewing Paul on film for a programme about the release of the album and wanted the song in the show but not the ‘Tube Promo’. Paul called me and asked if I could get up to Abbey Road Studios that evening and shoot a studio based Promo when the beeb had finished interviewing him. I quickly organised a two camera film crew and a favourite DP. We shot 16mm with one hand held and one camera on a Stedicam, the film was processed overnight, I transferred the negative the following morning, edited on VT that afternoon and evening. We delivered the finished Promo the following day to the BBC, which then was included in their show, they never showed the Tube Promo. Luckily though it was shown all around the world and went on MTV’s Heavy Rotation slot…”

PS: a true anecdote: ‘the blonde woman in the McCartney T-shirt was an American fan, on her way to the airport and back to the USA, when we all piled into the carriage. Paul sat next to her, and started singing, it was purely coincidental and not set up. She was completely overwhelmed, a magic film moment. I do hope she finally saw the finished Promo…”
