London-based millennia ensemble provides up to a full orchestra. Regular members of the group are:

Chris Worsey (cello)
After 2 years touring and recording with The Divine Comedy, Chris founded millennia strings, performing with artists such as The Verve, George Michael, Oasis and Suede. He is also regularly involved in chamber and contemporary music and has appeared as principal cellist with groups such as the Brunel Ensemble and the London Concertante.

Ian Burdge (cello)
Ian has freelanced in London since 1994. Co-founding millennia strings he has split his work between the classical and pop worlds, playing with various different orchestras and ensembles including the Guildford Philharmonic and the Southern Sinfonia. He has also been a member of Drugstore since 1996.

Everton Nelson (violin)
Everton regularly plays live and records with various artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto and Outside. He has a busy recording career in pop and film music working with artists such as Bjork, Jamiroquai and Catatonia.

Catherine Browning (violin)
Catherine has worked with artists such as Paul Weller, Bryan Adams, Shola Ama, Boyzone, 911 and Wet Wet Wet as well as the critically acclaimed 4 Hero, Square Window and Chris Bowden. Performances include the Glastonbury Festival, Brixton Academy, Crystal Palace, Newcastle Arena, The Brits, Smash Hits and the Mercury Music Prize.

Alison Dods (violin)
Alison performs contemporary and classical music regularly as a member of the Tippett Quartet. She is also a member of the acclaimed theatre ensemble the “Gogmagogs”, working with musicians such as Django Bates, Billy Jenkins and Keith Tippett. Alison has performed with bands such as Ocean Colour Scene and Paul Weller, on whose album Heavy Soul she appears as a solo violinist.

Vince Greene (viola)
Apart from millennia strings, Vince enjoys an extensive playing career with such groups as the English String Orchestra and the Virtuosi of London. He is also very involved in chamber music and performs regularly as a soloist in venues such as St Martin in the Fields. New projects include working with Welsh National Opera.

Lucy Wilkins (violin)
Over the last few years, Lucy has become increasingly interested in improvisational-based performance with theatre productions such as her arrangement and performance in Suspect Culture’s “Timeless”, “Mainstream” and “Cosmonaut Play”. She also enjoys writing with her quartet Browndog, including collaborations with hip-hop artists, Djs Scratch and urban poet Fishblac.

Becca Ware (viola)
After studying at the Guildhall School of Music, Becca toured with My Life Story for 2 years. Since then she has recorded and performed with various artists including Beth Orton, Jamiroquai, The Tindersticks, Morrissey, George Michael and Boyzone. Becca also writes and plays folk/country music and performs recitals with Borloff String Quartet.

The Millennia Ensemble participated to the recording of 2005 album “Chaos And Creation In The Backyard“. On their website, it is mentioned their contributions to this album were recorded in RAK Studios, but also in Angel Studios.
