The Marionettes were among the support acts for The Beatles’ 1965 UK Tour, sharing the bill with the Moody Blues, Beryl Marsden, Steve Aldo, the Koobas, and the Paramounts.

The Marionettes were formed a year ago, the line-up is Gerry Kissoon, Pauline Sibbles, Elleese Drummond and Lance Ring. Their first record was released on Decca and their last record “Under The Boardwalk” on Parlophone. They have a new record out on October 22nd entitled “It’s Raining, it’s Pouring”.
They have appeared in many dances and concerts and have appeared in shows with Manfred Mann, etc. Their first big break was when they appeared in concerts with Brenda Lee when she appeared over here last November and December.
T.V…. They have appeared on “Ready Steady, Go”, “Discs A Go-Go”, “That’s For Me”, “Scene at 6.30”, “Five O’clock Club”.
Radio… Two “Saturday Clubs”.
At the beginning of 1965 they did various clubs up North with tremendous success and have been re-booked in many of these. They have just completed a very successful summer season with Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Karl Denver Trio, Gene Vincent, etc., and their first big one-night stand package tour with The Everly Brothers, Cilla Black, Billy J. Kramer, etc.
