I was in the Tower Ballroom on 12th Oct. 1962 having joined the MV Tremayne in Birkenhead that morning as a Radio Officer. I went with my new friends to see Little Richard and some local groups. The local groups played first and I can remember the Beatles being introduced as having released “Love me do” the previous Wednesday and they sang it that night. They stood out because of their mod suits and unusual hairstyle. Paul stood out for me.
I can remember later when Little Richard came on the Beatles watching from the back of the stage and I’m sure learning a few tricks…Memories I am 84 now
