The Österreichischer Hof Hotel is one of the most historic luxury hotels in the province of Salzburg and forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg. The hotel has operated under the name Hotel Sacher Salzburg since 2000.
On May 13, 1965, The Beatles travelled from London to Salzburg, Austria, to film sequences for their second feature film, “Help!” Following their arrival, the group held a press conference at the Österreichischer Hof Hotel before travelling to the village of Obertauern, where the Austrian filming sequences were to take place.
