Aside from Paul and Linda McCartney, the band line up at this time included Wings-original Denny Laine, lead guitarist Laurence Juber and former Elton John drummer Steve Holly. “Did We Meet Somewhere Before?” was not actually intended for inclusion on the Egg album though, but for use in the new film Heaven Can Wait (starring Warren Beatty). Did We Meet Somewhere Before? – Written as the theme song for the Warren Beatty movie Heaven Can Wait and recorded with Wings in Abbey Road Studios, in Fall 1977. When it was rejected it got a second chance, two years later, at the beginning of the Ramones’ Rock & Roll High School movie. The director Allan Arkush, apparently could use it for a meagre $500. However: it’s only a snippet of the track, there’s no screen credit, nor is the song on the soundtrack LP.
