According to Mark Lewisohn in “The Complete Beatles Chronicle“, The Beatles performed “Reminiscing” regularly between 1962 and 1963, with George Harrison on lead vocals. A version, recorded in Hamburg in 1962, was released on “Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962.”

The Beatles got this from Buddy Holly. In fact, it was only released in September 1962, making it the most "current" song on the Star Club album. It reached no. 17 in the charts - like a certain other single a month later :)
