About this 12″ single:
The sleeve to Wings’ ‘Goodnight Tonight’ introduced new members Steve Holly and Laurence Juber, while the long version of the A-side is a treat. Sharp bursts of electric guitar merge with Spanish-style acoustic strumming, taut basswork and clicking percussion in an intoxicating whole. ‘Daytime Nightime Suffering’ (non-LP) is better than most people’s A-sides: the vocal interplay is crystal clear in this version. (‘Daytime Nightime’ is one of Paul and Linda’s favourite Wings tracks.)
From Club Sandwich N°36, 1985

Odd there's no mention of Goodnight Tonight (long version) (7:25), the actual A-side of this 12", still unreleased on cd. Apparently that was the original version with the single version being an edit.

Thanks Gerbrand. I have the long version listed there : https://www.the-paulmccartney-project.com/album/goodnight-tonight-2/ - But you're right, the single also had the long version. I'll fix that.
