About

Nowhere Man” and “What Goes On” were both released on the UK version of the “Rubber Soul” album in December 1965, but they were omitted from the US version. Instead, they were released as a US-only single in February 1966, before being included on the US album “Yesterday and Today” in June 1966.

BEATLES: NEW GOLD DISC

SALES of the Beatles’ latest American hit “Nowhere Man” — issued in Britain on their last LP — passed the million mark at the weekend, to win them their eighth Gold record for U.S. singles, cables Nat Hentoff. It is their fifth consecutive single to sell more than a million in America.

Members of the Beatles’ fan club are to get two free souvenirs to commemorate the BBC-1 showing of “ The Beatles At Shea Stadium ” last week.

The club is sending out a booklet of colour pictures taken from the film, and replicas of a ticket for a front row seat to the show, staged in New York last August. Both are being sent out next month.
