Hi! I was wondering what the songs "Dance/Twist In The Streets" and "Dream" mentioned in this setlist are, what do we know about them and this setlist in general. Thank you!

Hi Francesco, good question! And unf, I don't have the answer, that's why I haven't created song pages for those 2 songs.

Would Dream be the Roy Orbison song?

The PaulMcCartney Project • Sep 13, 2025 • 9 months ago

Hi Florin, Thanks ! I didn't know this song from Roy Orbison. It was released in July 1963 ; but it is a cover of a Johnny Mercer song written in 1944. So it could very well be this song indeed !

is there any recordings of this concert, or did you find these via a setlist from somewhere in the archives?]

The PaulMcCartney Project • Sep 20, 2025 • 8 months ago

As far I am aware, there is no recording of this concert ; but the setlist is available ; I don't know the exact source.

Hello, new in this chat. Both songs are mentioned in the same paragraph on Mark Lewisohn's The Beatles: Tune In (standard edition, pages 584-585). Dream is the Johnny Mercer song and it was sung by George, but The Beatles were following the cover of Cliff Richard (!). Dance In The Street was an Eddie Cochran song, but The Beatles sang it as Twist in the street. Great site!

Thanks Putxe !

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I wrote Eddie Cochran... and I meant Gene Vincent (and his Blue Caps). :-(

Published in 1958, written by Al Davis and Dan Welch.

No worries Putxe, and thanks for the credits. It will be fixed in the next site update !
