On this day, after a day off in Paris, The Beatles flew from Paris to Lyon in the early afternoon aboard an Air France flight.
That evening, they performed two concerts at the Palais d’Hiver, the first at 8 p.m. and the second at 10 p.m. Each concert was attended by around 3,500 people.
The following day, they had a day off in Lyon before boarding an evening train to Milan, where they were due to perform the next concerts of their European tour.
