On March 26, 2026, Paul McCartney announced his new album “The Boys Of Dungeon Lane” and released its lead single “Days We Left Behind“.
A short video, presented as an album trailer, was released on the same day. Shot at the Regency Café in Westminster in early March 2026, it features scenes filmed in the café alongside photographs from Paul McCartney’s childhood displayed on its walls. The soundtrack includes a brief spoken passage by Paul McCartney and an extract from “Days We Left Behind“.
The footage from this trailer was also used in a longer video featuring a conversation between Paul McCartney and actor Paul Mescal — who portrayed Paul McCartney in Sam Mendes’ four-part biopic about The Beatles — released on May 25, 2026, four days before the album’s release.
Looking back on your life… Wow, did we really do that? All of that comes flooding back. It’s like a dream.
