On April 28, 1965, The Beatles were filming “Help!” at Twickenham Film Studios.
During filming, Peter Sellers arrived at Twickenham to present The Beatles with the two Grammy Awards they had recently won: Best Performance by a Vocal Group for “A Hard Day’s Night” and Best New Artist. The presentation was filmed, with Sellers jokingly referring to them as the “Grandma Awards“, and concluded with an impromptu rendition of the English music hall song “It’s A Long Way To Tipperary.”
