About
The recording of “Lady Madonna” was completed on February 6, and two attempts at creating the mono mix were made.
On this day, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, George Martin, Geoff Emerick, and second engineer Martin Benge made the final mono mix. Eight attempts were made, numbered 3 through 10.
During the mix we would heavily overdo the effects on the vocal and the piano too, making for a distinctive sound.

The stereo mix would only be made when required for the inclusion on the Capitol “Hey Jude” compilation, on December 2, 1969.
