About
From paulmccartney.com, November 27, 2020:
When Paul was asked to describe the themes of his debut album McCartney 50 years ago, his words were: “Home, Family, Love.” And with photography by daughter Mary McCartney, nephew Sonny McCartney and Paul himself, it’s no surprise that the core theme of ‘family’ is continued on McCartney III.
From guitar solos by son James on ‘Heaven On A Sunday’ to lyrics inspired by his father (‘Put It There’) and Linda’s backing vocals on ‘Bip Bop’, Paul’s music has always been influenced by those nearest to him – his family.
Family is the third instalment in a series of streaming-only EPs released in the build-up to McCartney III, featuring previously released songs that tie in with the themes of the new album.
