About
Around May 1967, photographer Gered Mankowitz captured photos of a recording session for Marianne Faithfull, attended by Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, engineer Glyn Johns, and regular collaborator Jon Mark on guitar (the blond guy).
The “Rolling Stones database 1967 (nzentgraf.de)” website mentions a Marianne Faithfull session on May 20, 1967, where she recorded an unreleased cover version of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.” If the date is accurate, this session took place a day after the “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” launch party and a week before the album’s release.
