Maureen

“Maureen” is an improvised jam by George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and John Lennon, performed on January 6, 1969, during the “Get Back” sessions. The piece was named after Ringo Starr’s then-wife, Maureen.

Since Paul and John have both offered up numbers for Ringo, George joins in with “Maureen,” a song he claims Bob Dylan wrote (Maureen, of course, was the name of Ringo’s wife at the time). George sings and accompanies himself on guitar, as Paul occasionally joins in on vocal and John attempts to play along on guitar.
