In January 2021, it was announced that Mary McCartney was directing a documentary about Abbey Road Studios. In September 2022, the documentary premiered at Telluride Film Festival and it was announced it would be distributed by Disney Original Documentary.

On this day, December 12, 2022, a launch party was organized at Abbey Road Studios. Among the invitees were Mary McCartney, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

On December 16, 2022, “If These Walls Could Sing” was released on the Disney+ streaming service in the US. It was released in the UK on January 6, 2023.

After years of research, we were thrilled to see it all culminate in Studio One for an exclusive premiere of If These Walls Could Sing. It was a pleasure to see Paul McCartney, Elton John, Ringo Starr, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and many more last night as we welcomed friends, old and new,

The film is Mary’s personal love letter to a place which not only fostered her dad’s creative work, but also countless numbers of the most talented artists from around the globe.

Featured as one of Far Out Magazine’s 20 Best New Releases to Stream This December, we premiered the documentary in Studio One where over 250 guests gathered to hear our definitive story through the eyes and ears of Jimmy Page, Kate Bush, Noel Gallagher, John Williams, Celeste, Liam Gallagher, Shirley Bassey, Elton John, Roger Waters, Paul McCartney and more.

The Disney original documentary explores the breadth, diversity and ingenuity of the studios across our nine decades.

The interviews offer insight into how artists, producers, composers, engineers and staff of Abbey Road all found their musical language and community, while vivid archive footage and session tapes give an exclusive look behind the curtain of Abbey Road.
